A clear understanding of
expected solar power generation

Solar power is becoming increasingly important in the energy markets, however the variable nature of solar generation poses significant challenges for integration into the electricity industry.

Weatherzone, in partnership with SteadySun, now provides industry-leading solar generation forecasts that consider both large-scale power stations and small-scale PV systems, giving a clear understanding of the total solar power contribution.

Solar Forecast Solutions: From Minutes to Days

eye

STEADYMET

SteadyMet utilises information from meteorological models and production data from small and large PV installations to produce solar generation forecasts for up to 10 days.

eye

STEADYSAT

SteadySat enhances the short-term solar forecasts of SteadyMet by utilising real-time satellite imagery allowing evolution of the cloud cover and the production profile to be refined for the coming hours.

eye

STEADYEYE

SteadyEye allows the sky to be observed from site using a camera pointing upwards that takes hemispherical photos. Used in conjunction with image processing algorithms and a cloud mass movement forecast, the state of the cloud cover is forecast for the short term (up to 30 mins).
