Know the right time to blast
Increasingly, legislation is becoming more and more stringent on the effects of noise pollution and overpressure across Australia. Blasting, particularly in populous areas has therefore become increasingly difficult. Knowing when to blast and where (top of pit or bottom?), has become more important than ever. Waiting for appropriate blasting conditions, risking damp explosives and unexpected delays are all avoidable.
Weatherzone’s overpressure forecasts are there to help you manage your risk and puts the blast decision making process back in your hands.
Align with legislation
Weatherzone’s forecasts are carefully aligned with state legislation, addressing your obligations and reducing your risk.Plan effectively
Whether you are planning blasting for next week, today, in a few hours, the forecast systems provide the detail you need. The forecasts will even give a good indication on where to blast, top or bottom of the pit.Clear and straightforward
Traffic light systems improve usability and reduce the risk of users being overwhelmed by vast amounts of information and “glazing over”.Risk outlook up to 14 days

Using high resolution modeling, Weatherzone has created overpressure forecasts that can help you plan up to 14 days in advance. Using stability indices, inversion heights and numerous other parameters knowing when, where and how to blast is no longer a guessing game.
Crucially, our forecasts have been aligned along with state legislature, ensuring that you remain within the rules, at all times.
Intuitive traffic light systems provide you with go-no go solutions, giving supervisors the tools to decide quickly on how to conduct blasting operations down to the hour. Further atmospheric classifications and time series forecasts will allow decision making to made around whether blasting at the bottom of the pit is possible.
Noise monitor information can also be integrated into the overpressure forecast system with a view to correct the forecast (bias correction) and provide both current and forecast conditions on one interface.
Whatever your noise or overpressure requirements are, Weatherzone’s forecast systems will make sure you manage your risk and maximise productivity.
